Uzbekistan used over 1.5 trillion soums and US$37.4 million within the implementation of the measures within the state programme “The Year of attention and care for elder generation” in the first six months of 2015.
According to a publication of the Ministry of Economy and the State Statistics Committee, within the programme, over 70,800 war veterans, including 2,900 invalids of war and 67,900 veterans of labour front, underwent medical examination in the six months of 2015.
Over 9,000 elder people received medical aid at regional medical centers and 203 people underwent surgery in the reporting period.
