I International Half Marathon to be held in Samarkand

From 1 to 3 November, Uzbekistan will host the I International charity Half Marathon in Samarkand city.

The main purpose of the project is to attract public attention to the problem of inclusivity in the objects of culture and art, as well as to promote a healthy lifestyle and the development of sports tourism in Uzbekistan.

Both experienced and novice runners can take part in the half marathon. The organizers provide distances of 21 km, 10 km and 2 km.

In preparation for the half marathon, the Foundation for the development of culture and art of the Republic of Uzbekistan will conduct a study on the problem of inclusivity. Specialists will conduct trainings in theaters, museums and libraries of Uzbekistan. The results of the study will be presented in the form of a report within the educational program of the half marathon.

The proceeds from the half marathon will be used to implement a pilot project in one of the theaters in Tashkent.
