In a glittering event in Agra at 9th National HOMCON Conference where Homoeopathic Doctors from various parts of the country took part, a wonderful case presented by the President of Delhi State Branch of HMAI, Prof. Dr. A. K.Gupta caught everyone’s attention. It was a case of a 18yr old young man who was suffering from ALS/MND and how he got completely cured.

Neurological patients get a boost as Homoeopathy provides very effective treatment while dealing with Neurological diseases said Prof. Dr.A.K.Gupta, Director AKGsOVIHAMS Medical Centre (Om Vidya Institute of Homoeopathy and Allied Medical Sciences) ALS/MND is a fast progressing degenerative Neurological disease where a diagnosis itself is like a death sentence. For many years now Dr. A. K. Gupta has been carrying out clinical research on MND at his AKGsOVIHAMS Medical Center in Delhi. In the case being talked about, the young boy was being carriedin the lap of his father when he was brought to consult Dr.Gupta for the 1st time in 2019.  He needed support for every little body movement from raising to

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) also commonly known as ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is an uncommon degenerative disorder of motor neurones which leads to progressive paralysis of cranial and skeletal muscles. First symptoms may include stumbling, weakened grip, hoarse voice, cramp or muscle wasting. The condition is considered incurable and leads to death within a few years of diagnosis, generally 1-3 years. Death is most commonly due to respiratory muscle weakness and ventilatory failure. .About 90% of cases of MND are “Sporadic”. It is considered to be an Incurable disease where modern medical science does not have much to offer.

Dr. Gupta presented a Case with Videos of the patient of ALS / MND where patient who was to be lifted in lap as he could not get up, stand or walk. He needed support for everything, has been restored to health whereas he was told by the Hospitals and Neurologists that there is nothing which can help him to normalcy and Nothing Can be done.  With Homoeopathic Treatment he is fit now and plans to join the Defence Services.He was constantly loosing weight and gone down upto 58 Kgs with persistent wasting of the muscles. Soon after starting Homoeopathic treatment the further weight loss got stopped and gradually started gaining weight.Now the patient is 78 Kgs of weight.

Dr.A.K.Gupta very emphatically appealed that Doctors ,Neurologists and Hospitals must refrain from saying that it is incurable and nothing can be done and there is no treatment or hope and that patient has a very limited time or that patient is going to die soon and there is No treatment in the World. Once such kind of a statement is given to a patient or attendants of the patient,it plays a very negative role and the mind gets set there is no hope and Will Power gets demotivated. Instead they can say that in their Science it is considered but can’t say about other systems. So that patients are not disheartened and disappointed completely and keep some hope. They should not take away the Hope from the patient’s mind. As we have seen that the Patients are improving and their attendants also feel so but their Mindset of previous words of the doctors keep them appreciating the positive response even.

Conference was inaugurated by the Hon’ble State Health Minister  ShriS.S.Baghel and the  Hon’ble Mayor Mrs. Hemlata Diwakar  gave away the special Award to Dr.R.S.Pareekh of Agra and Dr.S.M.Singh  from Paryagrajin the presence of a large gathering of Homoeopathic fraternity from all over the country.
