In the khokimiyat of the Navoi region, a bilateral meeting was held between the head of the Navoi region Normat T. Tursunov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of Uzbekistan Muhammad Jahangir Alam.
The head of the diplomatic corps was presented with the economic and investment potential, infrastructure and logistics capabilities of the region. It was noted that for the further development of trade, economic, cultural and educational relations with the states of the far and near abroad, including the Republic of Bangladesh, the Navoi region has all the prerequisites and grounds.
In turn, Mr. Muhammad Jahangir Alam was interested in the possibilities of creating joint ventures, in particular, in the areas of vegetable growing, light industry, pharmaceuticals to expand trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Bangladesh and the Navoi region, and expressed his readiness to assist in enhancing relations in this direction.
During the negotiations, an agreement was reached on direct cooperation between Bangladeshi and Navoi entrepreneurs, for which it is planned to organize business forums and business meetings with their participation.
During the visit, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of Uzbekistan Muhammad Jahangir Alam got acquainted with the possibilities of an intermodal logistics center organized on the basis of Navoi International Airport LLC.
