President of India Greets Zambia on its Independence Day

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and the people of the Republic of Zambia on the eve of their Independence Day (October 24, 2016).

In a message to His Excellency Mr. Edgar C. Lungu, the President of the Republic of Zambia, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, I extend to you and to the people of Zambia warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your Independence Day.

India and Zambia have traditionally shared cordial and friendly relations.  I am confident that our relations will be strengthened further in the years to come – for the mutual benefit of our two peoples.

Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your continued good health and well-being as well as for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Zambia”.
