President of India Greets Oman on its National Day

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Sultan and people of the Sultanate of Oman on the eve of their National Day (November 18, 2016).

In a message to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al Said, Sultan of Oman, the President said “I am pleased to extend warm greetings and felicitations to Your Majesty and to the friendly people of the Sultanate of Oman on the occasion of your National Day.

Our long-standing friendly relations are founded on the millennia-old cultural, religious and economic intercourse between our two regions, characterized by extensive people-to-people contacts and deep mutual respect.  I am confident that our ongoing cooperation across the full spectrum of political, economic and cultural activities will continue to diversify and strengthen to the mutual benefit of our two  peoples.

I take this opportunity to convey to Your Majesty my best wishes for your personal good health and well-being, and for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Sultanate of Oman”.
