The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of Australia on the eve of their National Day (January 26, 2017).
In a message to H.E. Gen. the Hon’ble Sir Peter Cosgrove AKMC (Retd.), the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it is with pleasure that I extend warm greetings to you and to the people of Australia on the occasion of your National Day.
The bilateral relationship between India and Australia, marked by friendship and warmth has been further enhanced by our fruitful engagement. I am confident that our growing cooperation will also diversify into new areas of our shared interest and contribute to the mutual understanding between our two countries as well as the continued development and progress of the Asia Pacific region.
