Faridabad, June 20: NHPC participated in Annual meeting on International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD 2023) held from 10th to 15th June 2023 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The NHPC delegation led by R.P.Goyal, Director (Finance) and Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects) actively participated in the event. The delegation presented various Papers on critical issues faced by hydropower developers in respect of management & safety of dams which were highly appreciated by the participants.
NHPC’s capabilities in field of hydropower development were also showcased in a special pavilion at the event. The other members of the delegation included M.G. Gokhale, Executive Director, Raghvendra Gupta, Group General Manager, Manjusha Mishra, General Manager, Manoj Kumar Singh, General Manager, R.M.A Khan, General Manager,Dinesh, Deputy General Manager, Sunil J. Ganvir, Deputy General Manager , Pradeep Garnayak, Senior Manager, Mainak Ghosh, Senior Manager, Pallavi Khanna, Senior Manager and Varun Agarwal, Manager.
NHPC officials presented several papers and posters on critical issues faced by hydropower developers on various topics as Management & safety of dams, Seepage Control measures, Seismic aspects, Repair & rehabilitation of dam and its appurtenant structures etc. NHPC officials also participated in discussions of ICOLD technical committee on Sedimentation and shared their experience of sediment management for projects in cascade.
NHPC has been highly benefitted with the overall exposure and experience gained by its senior officers through participation in this prestigious event.
एनएचपीसी ने इंटरनेशनल कमीशन ऑन लार्ज डैम्स, गोथेनबर्ग, स्वीडन की वार्षिक बैठक में भाग लिया
एनएचपीसी ने दिनांक 10 से 15 जून, 2023 तक गोथेनबर्ग, स्वीडन में इंटरनेशनल कमीशन ऑन लार्ज डैम्स (आईकोल्ड 2023) की वार्षिक बैठक में भाग लिया। श्री आर.पी. गोयल, निदेशक (वित्त) और श्री विश्वजीत बासु, निदेशक (परियोजनाएं) के नेतृत्व में एनएचपीसी के प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने इस कार्यक्रम में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने बांधों के प्रबंधन और सुरक्षा के संबंध में जलविद्युत विकासकर्ताओं के समक्ष आ रहे महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों पर विभिन्न पेपर प्रस्तुत किए, जिसकी प्रतिभागियों द्वारा सराहना की गई।
कार्यक्रम में जलविद्युत विकास के क्षेत्र में एनएचपीसी की क्षमताओं को भी एक विशेष पैवेलियन में प्रदर्शित किया गया। एनएचपीसी के इस प्रतिनिधिमंडल के अन्य सदस्यों में श्री एम.जी. गोखले, कार्यपालक निदेशक, श्री राघवेंद्र गुप्ता, समूह महाप्रबंधक, सुश्री मंजूषा मिश्रा, महाप्रबंधक, श्री मनोज कुमार सिंह, महाप्रबंधक, श्री आर. एम. ए. खान, महाप्रबंधक, श्री दिनेश, उप महाप्रबंधक, श्री सुनील जे. गणवीर, उप महाप्रबंधक, श्री प्रदीप गणनायक, वरिष्ठ प्रबंधक, श्री मैनाक घोष, वरिष्ठ प्रबंधक, सुश्री पल्लवी खन्ना, वरिष्ठ प्रबंधक और श्री वरुण अग्रवाल, प्रबंधक शामिल थे।
एनएचपीसी के अधिकारियों ने बांधों के प्रबंधन और सुरक्षा, सीपेज नियंत्रण संबंधी उपायों, भूकंपीय पहलुओं, बांध तथा इसकी सहायक संरचनाओं की मरम्मत और पुनरूद्धार आदि जैसे विभिन्न विषयों पर जलविद्युत विकासकर्ताओं के समक्ष आ रहे महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों पर कई पेपर व पोस्टर प्रस्तुत किए। एनएचपीसी के अधिकारियों ने आईकोल्ड टेक्निकल कमेटी ऑन सेडिमेंटेशन के विचार-विमर्श सत्र में भी भाग लिया और कैस्केड में परियोजनाओं के लिए सेडिमेंटेशन प्रबंधन के संबंध में अपने अनुभव साझा किए।
इस प्रतिष्ठित आयोजन में भाग लेने से, एनएचपीसी को अपने वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों द्वारा अर्जित ज्ञान और अनुभव से अत्यधिक लाभ प्राप्त हुआ है।
