New Delhi, March 17: High commissioners, Ambassadors & representatives from 27 countries today made a visit to South Delhi Municipal Corporation’s awe-aspiring Bharat Darshan Park. To ensure the visit of these foreign delegates, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with NGO International Council for World Affairs (ICWA) organised a grand event.
High Commissioners, Ambassadors and representatives of about 27 countries-Bangladesh, Dominican Republic, Turkey, Panama, Malaysia, Guinea, France, Myanmar, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mongolia, Czech Republic, Burundi, Mauritius, Sudan, Kenya, Columbia, Nigeria, Fiji, Vietnam, DPR Korea, Bhutan, Tuinisia, Jamaica, Sri Lanka, Denmark and Comoros- besides senior officials became a part of this event. Ambassadors of 27 countries took interest in the replicas of India’s major historical monuments made in this park and said that this unique park is giving a new identity to Delhi due to its grandeur, vastness and beauty.
Commissioner Sh. Gyanesh Bharti,said that it is a matter of pride that the SDMC has carried forward the amazing concept of ‘Waste-to-Wealth’ to provide another attractive park to people of Delhi. SDMC’s Waste To Wonder Park, also based on the ‘Waste to Wealth’ concept, has been drawing attention in India and abroad also. 22 replicas of historical monuments are Qutab Minar, Taj Mahal, Char Minar, Gateway of India, Konark Temple, Mysore Palace, Meenakshi Temple, Hampi, Victoria Memorial, Sanchi Stupa, Gol Gumbaz, Azanta & Ellora Caves, Hawa Mahal, Khajuraho Temple, Nalanda University, Junagarh Fort, Twang Gate, Rameswaram, Dwarkadhish, Jagganathpuri, Badrinath and Baniyan Tree.
The newly constructed Bharat Darshan Park will prove a milestone for the SDMC. He said that Bharat Darshan Park is the first park where 22 replicas of historical monuments have been made from 350 ton scrap. ‘Unity in Diversity’ is the theme of the park where diversified culture and rich heritages of India is reflected through monuments. Replicas of 21 monuments and a banyan tree have been beautifully made from waste materials: iron, electric poles, old cars, grills of parks, automobile parts, iron pipes, etc. These unused materials were lying at various SDMC stores. Nearly 350 tons of scrap was used for construction of replicas of monuments .8 artists, 22 assistants and 150 workers were engaged in construction work.Despite witnessing Covid pandemic and its cascading effect, entire park was developed in a period of 22 months.
Additional Commissioner Sh. Randhir Sahay, Additional Commissioner Dr. Sonal Swaroop, Additional Commissioner A A Tazir along with other office bearers of the organization and Councilor of South Delhi Municipal Corporation ,secretary of the organisation and main facilitator of the program Mrs.Tulsi Joshi gave their auspicious presence. Director General of the organization Dr. Praveen Gupta, Secretary Smt. Tulsi Joshi and Commissioner Sh. Gyanesh Bharti felicitated all the delegates and Secretary General Dr. Ashish Gupta welcomed all the delegates by putting sandalwood tilak and honored them with traditional dupattas.
Councilor of South Delhi Municipal Corporation ,secretary of the organisation and main facilitator of the program Smt. Tulsi Joshi said that after viewing these monuments in this park one would definitely like to see all these historical buildings in real life and witness the beautiful Indian architecture. The factual information behind building these monuments has been written in front of these replicas of monuments made of waste, which throws light on the historical order of India.
The SDMC has marvelously illustrated Indian history from ancient India to modern day in a masterpiece. Soon the organization and SDMC jointly will also take the opportunity to host the foreign representatives at another such event and introduce them to Waste of Wonder too.
Additional Commissioner Sh. Randhir Sahay briefed how the waste was collected and organized and how the machinery setup is done in the park to convert waste coming in Delhi. The compost obtained from is utilized to maintain the trees and plants present in the park. Secretary General of the organization, Dr. Ashish Gupta claimed that the organization has been working closely with foreign embassies since 2015 as the organization sticks on the motto “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”.
Today there is a need to keep self-reliant India on the world stage and the organization has been providing its support for the same. All the delegates and guests knocked around the park and saw the change in the “Creation of Wonder from Waste”.
The symbolic importance of each monument was apprised by the officials of the department to the delegates. The monuments made of scrap attracted a large number of foreign delegates.
The SDMC also gave mementos made of scrap to all the foreign representatives and office bearers of the organization, which amazed everyone and was praised thoroughly. Dr. Praveen Gupta, Director General of the organization thanked the South Delhi Municipal Corporation for the special cooperation and promised such more programs in future together.

भव्य व अद्भूत भारत दर्शन पार्क का भ्रमण किया
दक्षिणी निगम के पंजाबी बाग स्थित भव्य व लोकप्रिय भारत दर्शन पार्क का आज 27 देशों के राजदूतों, उच्चायुक्त और प्रतिनिधियों ने भ्रमण किया। इस पार्क के भ्रमण हेतु दक्षिणी निगम ने गैर सरकारी संगठन ‘‘इन्टरनेशनल काउंसिल फार वर्ल्ड अफेयरस (ICWA) के सहयोग से एक भव्य कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया।इस कार्यक्रम में लगभग 27 (बांग्लादेश, जमैका,डोमिनिकन गणराज्य, तुर्की, पनामा, मलेशिया, गिनी, फ्रांस, सूडान, म्यांमार, कोस्टा रिका, क्यूबा, मंगोलिया, चेक गणराज्य, बुरूंडी, मॉरीशस, केन्या, कोलंबिया, नाइजीरिया, फिजी, वियतनाम, कोरिया, श्रीलंका ,डेनमार्क तुनिशिया, भूटान) देशों के उच्चायुक्त, राजदूत और प्रतिनिधियों सहित वरिष्ठ अधिकारी सम्मलित हुए। सभी देशों के राजदूतों ने इस पार्क में बनायी गयी भारत की प्रमुख ऐतिहासिक स्मारकों की अनुकृतियों को रूचि लेकर देखा और कहा कि यह अनोखा पार्क अपनी भव्यता, व्यापकता व सुन्दरता के कारण दिल्ली को नयी पहचान दे रहा है।
इस अवसर पर आयुक्त श्री ज्ञानेश भारती ने ने कहा कि दक्षिणी निगम ने वेस्ट टू वेल्थ की अवधारणा को आगे बढ़ाते हुए पंजाबी बाग क्षेत्र में बेहद आकर्षक व बेहतरीन “भारत दर्शन पार्क” विकसित किया है। यह भारत का पहला ऐसा पार्क है जिसमें 350 टन स्क्रैप व वेस्ट से भारत के विभिन्न राज्यों की 22 ऐतिहासिक व सांस्कृतिक स्मारकों और कलाकृतियों की अनुकृतियों जैसे कि ताजमहल, कुतुबमीनार, चारमीनार, गेटवे ऑफ इंडिया, अजंता ऐलोरा की गुफा, कोणार्क मंदिर, खजुराहो का मंदिर, सांची स्तूप, नालंदा विश्वविद्यालय, मैसूर पैलेस, हम्पी, गोल गुम्बज, मीनाक्षी मंदिर, हवा महल, जूनागढ़ फोर्ट, विक्टोरिया मैमोरियल, तवांग गेट, रामेश्वरम्, द्वारकाधीश, जग्गनाथ पुरी, बद्रीनाथ और वट वृक्ष निर्मित की गयी है। यह अनुकृतियों निगम स्टोर में व्यर्थ पड़े कबाड़ व अनुपयोगी वस्तुओं जैसे कि लोहे के खराब सामान, बिजली के खंबे, पुरानी कारें, पार्कों की ग्रिल, ऑटोमोबाइल पार्ट, लोहे के पाइप आदि से निर्मित की गयी है।कोरोना महामारी प्रभाव होते हुए भी पार्क को लगभग 22 महीने मे विकसित किया गया है कलाकृतियों को 8 कलाकार, 22 सहायक कलाकारों तथा लगभग 150 कारीगरों ने मिलकर तैयार किया है।इस पर्यावरण अनुकूल पार्क में सोलर पैनल और एसटीपी भी लगाया गया है।
दक्षिणी दिल्ली नगर निगम की ओर से अतिरिक्त आयुक्त डॉ सोनल स्वरूप,अतिरिक्त आयुक्त श्री रणधीर सहाय, अतिरिक्त आयुक्त श्री ए.ए ताजिर,संस्था की सचिव व दक्षिणी निगम की पार्षद श्रीमती तुलसी जोशी सम्मलित हुई। संस्था के महानिदेशक ड़ॉ प्रवीन गुप्ता, संस्था की सचिव, दक्षिणी दिल्ली नगर निगम की पार्षद व कार्यक्रम की मुख्य सुत्रधार श्रीमती तुलसी जोशी व संस्था के महासचिव डा- आशीष गुप्ता ने सभी प्रतिनिधियों को चंदन का तिलक और अंग वस्त्र प्रदान करके स्वागत किया। अन्य सहयोगी संस्थाओं ने भी प्रतिनिधियों का अभिनन्दन किया। कार्यक्रम में विदेशी राजदूतो के साथ फूलो और चंदन की होली भी खेली गई।
संस्था के महानिदेशक ड़ॉ प्रवीन गुप्ता ने कहा संस्था अन्तरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर भारत की छवि को प्रदर्शित करने का कार्य कर रही है। संस्था ने ‘भारत को जानो’ नाम से एक कार्यक्रम शुरु किया जिससे हम भारत में कार्यरत विदेशी राजदूतों-उच्चायुक्तों को भारत से परिचित करा रहे है।
संस्था की सचिव, दक्षिणी दिल्ली नगर निगम की पार्षद ,कार्यक्रम की मुख्य सुत्रधार श्रीमती तुलसी जोशी ने कहा दक्षिणी दिल्ली नगर निगम द्वारा निर्मित भारत दर्शन पार्क को देखने के बाद आपको इन सभी ऐतिहासिक ईमारतों को मूल रूप से देखने का मन अवश्य करेगा। इन इमारतों के समक्ष इनकी पूर्ण जानकारी दी गई है जो भारत के ऐतिहासिक क्रम पर प्रकाश डालती है। शीघ्र ही संस्था और दक्षिणी निगम विदेशी प्रतिनिधियों को वेस्ट ऑफ वंडर भी दिखाएगी।
अतिरिक्त आयुक्त श्री रणधीर सहाय ने बताया कि वेस्ट टू वडर पार्क की भाँति भारत दर्शन पार्क भी रिसाइकिलिंग, रिडूज और रियूज की पद्धति से स्वच्छता से सुंदरता की ओर प्रेरित करता है। भारत दर्शन पार्क भारत की विभिन्न संस्कृति, कलाकृति और ऐतिहासिक इमारतो का मिश्रण कर अनेकता में एकता को दर्शाता है।दक्षिणी निगम ने वेस्ट टू वंडर पार्क की अपार सफलता के फलस्वरूप भारत दर्शन पार्क बनाकर कचरे से कंचन की परिभाषा को फलीभूत करने का सकारात्मक प्रयास किया है।
संस्था के महासचिव डा- आशीष गुप्ता ने कहा संस्था 2015 से विदेशी दूतावासो के साथ मिलकर कार्य कर रही है क्योंकि संस्था की नीति ‘‘वसुद्येव कुटुम्बकम्भ’’ पर आधारित है। आज आवश्यकता है आत्म निर्भर भारत को विश्व पटल पर रखने की। संस्था उसी में अपना सहयोग प्रदान कर रही है। सभी प्रतिनिधियों और मेहमानों ने पार्क में चारों ओर दस्तक दी और ‘‘वेस्ट का वंडर’’ में बदलाव देखा।
राजदूतों को प्रत्येक स्मारक के प्रतीकात्मक महत्व के बारे अवगत कराया गया। ऐतिहासिक स्मारकों की अनुकृतियों को विदेशी प्रतिनिधियों ने आकर्षित किया। दक्षिण निगम ने सभी विदेशी प्रतिनिधियों और संस्था के पदाधिकारियों को कबाड़ से बने मोमेंटो भी दिए। संस्था के महानिदेशक ड़ॉ प्रवीन गुप्ता ने दक्षिणी निगम के विशेष सहयोग के लिए धन्यवाद किया और भविष्य में इस प्रकार के अन्य कार्यक्रम के सहयोग के लिए आमंत्रित किया।
