Government okays revised air services pact with New Zealand

New Delhi, Nov 18 (IANS) The central government on Wednesday approved the revised air services agreement (ASA) between India and New Zealand.

The approval for signing the revised ASA with New Zealand was given by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) during its meeting held here.

“The ASA signifies an important landmark in the civil aviation relations between India and New Zealand and has the potential to spur greater trade, investment, tourism and cultural exchanges between the two countries,” the CCEA was quoted in a statement.

The ASA enhances air transport services on mutually agreed terms including flying rights, operation to select airports and weekly passenger seat allocation for the two country’s airlines.
