Taiwan OPERA gives debut performance in India

New Delhi, Nov 01 The Ming Hwa Yuan Arts and Cultural Group from Taiwan gave its debut performance in India during the Kullu Dasehra Festival 2015, the huge number of audience showed their love to its performance by shouting with glee and continuously claps. Later in the Delhi International Art Festival on 30 October, 2015, the musical opera of the orient, an integration of folk arts, dramas, poetry, music, dances, acrobatics, visual arts, movies, modern theatre techniques and various other art forms, was acclaim by media as a magic weaver.

Amb. Chung-Kwang Tien, Representative of Taipei Economic & Cultural Center in India said: This year marks the 20th anniversary of Taiwan-India relations. In the past years our relations in every sphere have grown from strength to strength. Aside from economic relations, cultural exchange can fortify the understanding between peoples of India and Taiwan. Once we know and appreciate the culture of each other, the relations in every sphere will be definitely deeply rooted.

“Ming Hwa Yuan has gained popularity internationally for its amiable music songs and lively performance and received much acclaim from audience with different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. This is the first time they perform in India, and we believe the art of Taiwan opera can reach and warm audience’s hearts in India.” he added.
