President of India Greets Lesotho on its Independence Day

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Lesotho on the occasion of their Independence Day (October 4, 2016).

In a message to His Majesty King Letsie III, the Kingdom of Lesotho, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and my own behalf, I take this opportunity to convey warm greetings and felicitations to Your Majesty, the Government and people of Lesotho on the occasion of your Independence Day.

India and Lesotho share cordial bilateral ties marked by close cooperation in areas of common interest.  The relations between our two countries are based on the firm foundations of mutual respect and understanding. I am confident that our bilateral engagement will continue to grow to the mutual benefit of our respective peoples.

Please accept, Your Majesty, my good wishes for your continued good health and personal well-being, as well as for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Lesotho”.
