New Delhi, Sep 11 Recently, We had the opportunity to fly on this magnificent A350 Aircraft with other Youtubers and influencers courtesy Vietnam Airlines. The FAM trip was of 6 days with visit to Hanoi, Halong Bay, Dalat, Ho Chi Minh.

Vietnam Airlines, the Flag Carrier of Vietnam was founded in January 1956 when the Civil Aviation Authority was established by the Government of Vietnam, marking the birth of the civil aviation sector in Vietnam

The airline is expecting exponential revenue growth in FY25 with the addition of flights from tier 2 and 3 cities in India and expecting a 40 per cent increase in capacity in the upcoming fiscal.

The airlines is focussing on India which is the fastest growing market for the next 5 years and expecting revenues of $60 million from the Indian market.

Vietnam Airlines started operation in 2022 in India, the flag carrier has seen a 40 per cent year-on-year growth every year. and in FY24, the airline expects to cross a revenue of $40 million.

Recently Vietnam Airlines introduced A350 aircraft for routes from India with flights to Delhi and Mumbai to Hanoi and Ho chi minh. The Aircraft A350 has two-class cabin configuration with 276 economy seats and 29 full-flat beds in business class for travel buffs in India to experience unparalleled comfort and state-of-the-art technology.

All seats on the aircraft feature in-flight entertainment system and HD screens to provide superior flying experience offering latest collection of movies, TV shows etc. These aircraft are 20% more fuel efficient than other similar aircraft, reducing fuel emissions and ensuring sustainable operations. The Airlines also present onboard passengers with a specially curated Indian food menu.

Vietnam Airlines operates 14 flights weekly with its A321 aircraft from Delhi and Mumbai to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Furthermore, it provides connections to China, Japan, Korea, Australia and ASEAN countries from India.

Vietnam Airlines is also planning flights from other cities in Pune, Ahmedabad, Amritsar and Lucknow

The Airlines is eyeing India as a potential revenue contributor with China.

Vietnam Airlines will upgrade its India-Vietnam routes and deploy Airbus A350 aircraft from May as the South East Asian country has become one of the favourite holiday destinations for Indians.

Vietnam Airlines, as the national flag carrier aim to boost traffic between the two countries by offering superior products and services to Indian passengers and with introduction of A350 wide body Aircraft to India the airlines intend to offer superior products and services to Indian passengers.

After the elevation of bilateral relations between India and Vietnam the airlines is also aiming at cargo segment. The import and export trade between India and Vietnam exceeds USD 14 billion, presenting a significant opportunity for cargo operations.

As per data from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the international air traffic to and from India increased by over 150% on year in the December quarter to 186,812 passengers. Online travel portals have also seen a rise in interest among travellers from India to Vietnam as a leisure destination.
