Sushma Swaraj calls on Norwegian PM

New Delhi, Jan 8 (IANS) External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj called on visiting Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg here on Tuesday during the course of which the two leaders discussed ways of expanding bilateral ties.

“Good exchange of views on expanding ties across all sectors,” External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.

“Immense opportunity to cooperate in blue economy, shipping, fisheries and aquaculture and renewable energy,” Kumar said.

Earlier, Solberg was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

She will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi later on Tuesday following which a number of agreements are expected to be signed.

Solberg arrived here on Monday on a three-day visit.
