THE INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS CENTRE

The International Business Centre was established in 2000 as a joint- stock company. The Company rents office space and other premises to foreign companies, firms, banks and other foreign and international organisations. The Company’s facilities also provide services in organisation and conducting of official-service events, hotel-resort services, restaurants and cafes, round- the-clock security and video surveillance, cleaning services, DHL express postal services, auto transportation services, medical services, etc.

The shareholders of the Company are the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Uzprommashimpeks JSC, O’zmarkazimpeks JSC, O’zinterimpeks JSC, Markazsanoateksport JSC, Interservis SC, and O’rta Osiyo Trans JSC.

The system of quality management of the services of the Company is certified according to international standard ISO 9001:2008. The Company is the only business centre in Uzbekistan that is a member of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA).
The International Business Centre operates the following facilities with a total area of 79,700 sq. m: the International Business Centre (IBC), Tashkent Plaza Shopping Centre, Information Centre, the International Trade Centre (ITC), IBC Village recreation site, and Silk Road Palace hotel complex in Navoi Region.

The Company’s lessees include representative offices of over 150 national and international companies and organisations such as the World Bank, the EU Delegation, the British Council, NATO, JICA, the Uzbekistan- Japan Centre for Human Development, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Nokia Networks, China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CNPC), FE CNPC Silk Road Group Ltd., JV Aral Sea Operating Company Ltd., and LG CNS Uzbekistan Ltd., among others.

The facilities of the International Business Centre are Class A facilities in terms of amenities, infrastructure, engineering and communication systems, characteristics, location as well as the range of services offered.

From 2011 to 2015, the Company’s facilities served as venue for more than 300 events of national and international scale, including the Annual Session of the ADB Board of Governors, annual sessions of the Intergovernmental Commissions of the Republic of Uzbekistan with foreign countries, a series of international conferences titled “The Historical Legacy of Scholars and Thinkers of the Medieval East, Its Role and Implications for Modern Civilisation» and “The Most Important Reserves of Implementing the Food Program in Uzbekistan”.

The main advantages of the International Business Centre are:

inclusion in the list of specific branches and enterprises of national economy, preservation of the share of the state, in which it is defined as strategically expedient;
convenient location of the facilities – 200 metres from the Tashkent city small ring highway that creates certain conveniences for free movement and access of motor-vehicle transport to the premises of the business centre;
conformity of all facilities with modern safety requirements and engineering services;
stable leadership in the real estate market, offices and premises over the past 15 years, and positive reputation among potential clients.

The Company also has an agency agreement with “Uzbekistan Havo Yullari” National Airlines on the sale of airline tickets in Uzbekistan as well as licences for tourist activity, provision of transportation and hospitality services, Internet provider services and motor boat rides.

Currently, a package of benefits and concessions are being developed at legislative level for foreign investors involved in the privatization process in Uzbekistan. More specifically, these would include:

exemption of foreign investors from income tax in the form of dividends on shares they hold in the company, until 1 January 2020;
exemption of joint-stock companies with foreign investments from the payment of state fees when taking legal action in response to violation of their rights and interests;
provision of visa support for foreign investors.

“UZEXPOCENTRE” NATIONAL EXHIBITION COMPANY JOINT-STOCK SOCIETY

“Uzexpocentre” The Republican Trade and Exhibition Center was established in 1992 under the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Republic of Uzbekistan

The primary kinds of activity thereof are rendering the services in holding the international, thematic and specialized exhibitions, fairs, presentations and other events on the territory of Republic of Uzbekistan and abroad, as well as rendering the services of the recreational and amusement complex to the population.

Total area of “Uzexpocentre” NEC JSC – 44.6 hectares (including recreational and amusement complex). Number of employees varies from 350 to 480 people, depending on the season, and administrative -managerial staff amounts to 23 units.

The exhibition complex consists of:

-Central Pavilion №1, coupled with Pavilion №2, Atrium hall №1 and Conference-hall
-Pavilions №№3 & 4,connected by Atrium hall №2
– Premises of International Trade Centre
-Premises of cinema-lecture hall
-Park area adjoining the pavilions.

Total indoor exhibition area of Uzexpocentre’s pavilions is over 15 000 sq. m., outdoor area is about 7000 sq. m.
Annually more than 50 different exhibitions are held in the pavilions of Uzexpocentre. Being as a main organizer of national and branch (branded) stands, pavilions at the exhibitions and fairs in the country and abroad, “Uzexpocentre” NEC provides a deserved participation of the country in the World Expo forums as well.

The recreational and amusement complex of Uzexpocentre includes Aqua-Park, Ropeway, “Tashkent-land” children’s park and Japanese Garden. The park zone of Uzexpocentre located in the center of Tashkent between the lake and the river-side of “Bozsu” river is one of the most green and popular resting-place of the residents of Tashkent. The recreational and amusement complex offers a wide range of services on the modern rides and equipments for resting the visitors of different age.

The largest partners of “Uzexpocentre” NEC are “ITE Group Pic.” Company (UK), “EXPO POSITION” company – an exclusive partner of “TNT Production Inc.” company, “IEG – Uzbekistan” company – a subsidiary of International Exhibition Group (USA) and “ZarExpo” company.

The amount of the authorized fund amounts to 9 750 782 520 (nine billion seven hundred fifty million seven hundred eighty two thousand five hundred twenty) Uzbek soums. The company’s shares are distributed as follows:
The state’s share amounts to 89%, the proportion of shareholders – legal persons amounts to 10%, the remaining 0.27% shares belong to natural persons.

Thus, revenues of 2014 in comparison with 2011 increased by 2 bin. 978 mln. sum (1400.0 thd. US dollars). The growth rate of revenue for above mentioned period amounted to 141%, the growth rate of net profit -168%, the growth rate of profitability – 108.4%.
Republic of Uzbekistan has been a member of the International Bureau of Exhibitions since 1997. Uzbekistan participates in the work of its sessions and meetings.

Today “Uzexpocentre” NEC is a steady leader in the field of holding the exhibitions & fairs and rendering the services of recreational and amusement complex in Uzbekistan.

The priorities and strategy of Uzexpocentre are to make its contribution in the sphere of strengthening the stability of economic growth and attraction of investment to the republic, to reach the international level of competitiveness as an organizer of exhibitions and investing in the purchase of modern exhibition equipment for the construction of exclusive exhibition stands.
