
Ambassador Milan Hovorka went on to say that he considered himself gratified to have the honour of representing the Czech Republic in increadibly beautiful and inspiring India, a country with which the Czech Republic had a long history of bilateral partnership and friendship and a country with which we enjoyed particularly enflourishing and multifaceted relations. He pointed out to like mindeness of the two countries in sharing the same values of freedom and democracy. They developed enthriving relationship in a number of areas, including trade, investments, energy, education and people-to-people contacts. While echoing President Mukherjee’s view according to which the Czech-Indian relations were not utilizing fully their potential he offered a number of industrial sectors in which the Czech Republic’s expertise and competence could make the difference. He mentioned mutual investments as one of his priorities.
Ambassador concluded by assuring the President that he would remain commited to do his utmost to further develop the friendly relations between both of our great nations – the Czech Republic and India.
