 Professional Fashion Week is a special event in the fashion industry of Uzbekistan, whose purpose is the promotion and advancement in the world of fashion – industry the brand of the “Uzbek fashion”, the opportunity for the designers to show their collections and give viewers the opportunity to evaluate modern fashion trends. TFW promotes the development of the designers’ creativity, revealing new names, opening wide prospects for young designers.

Fashion Week event focused on the formation of the professional environment, the creation of areas of international cooperation of the world fashion industry.

Professional Fashion Week program includes the following activities:

• #beyoung – fashion show of young designers;

• All shows by Uzbek and foreign designers;

• Festival of “national dress”;

• Final Gala-Fashion show;

• Master classes and seminar-trainings from leading designers of Uzbekistan and foreign designers;

• Exhibition of Uzbek fabrics and items of applied art;

• Scientific-practical conference.

 

The event venues: Center for Youth Creativity, Alisher Navoi Library, Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION:

“National Dress” festival.  Collections can be made in two directions:

  • in the “ethnic” style

• modern clothes by using national fabric, elements of national fabric or decor.

The number of clothes in the collections – 9 units.

 

#beyoung – Competition of young designers. Held in the form of a competition for young designers. Contest is open for, students of higher and secondary professional educational institutions, as well as independent authors, young designers and fashion designers.

Contest nominations:

• PRET-A-PORTE

• CREATIVE ART

• ETHNO-FUSION, the national style.

Collections are evaluated on the following criteria: novelty of the idea, creativity, original solution of artistic tasks, planting items in the figure, quality of workmanship.

The number of clothes in the collections – 7- 9 units.

The competition is held in several stages.

In the first stage (12- 17 September 2016), the participants of the competition must submit to the Organizing Committee:

– A brief description of the collection

– Sketches of models with fabric samples.

The second stage (October 3-8, 2016) should be made 2-3 items from approved collection.

The third stage (7-12 November) – should be presented complete collection with the supplements and accessories.

Designers Exclusive show . The show can consist of several blocks. The number of clothes in the collection in the author shows up to 40-45 units. Models of clothes demonstrates on models provided by the organizing committee, or own demonstrators (on condition they pass the mandatory audition prior to the event).

The final Gala-fashion show. Collections of modern clothes, corresponding to modern international trends of fashion, differing with novelty of ideas and professionalism. The number of clothes in the collections – 9-11 units.

 

Scientific-practical conference

Topic: “Innovation and modern technology in the fashion industry. FASHION-2016”

Scientific-practical conference includes following sections:

1. Innovation in design and technology of light industry

2. Modern trends and prospects for the creation of new structures and the design of materials for garments.

3. Innovative marketing and branding in the fashion industry.

 

In the conference can attended scientists, art historians, designers and leading experts of the textile and garment enterprises, teachers and students of Uzbek and foreign higher educational institutions.

By the organizing Committee envisaged publishing the collection of scientific articles.

 

Requirements to the article:

  1. The article should be not less than 3 and no more than 5 pages in A4 format (210x297mm), text editor Microsoft Word, font – Times New Roman, size – 12, line spacing 1.0, all margins – 2.5 cm .
  2. At the center with capital and bold letters the name of the article. Below the header, information about the author of the article: name, position and title (no more than three co-authors), the next line place of work of the author. On the next line brief abstract of the article.

Materials for participation in the conference must send to the e-mail of “The Department of Innovation, Integration and Scientific Research” of the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry until 10 October 2016.

The Organizing Committee bears the costs for the organization and conduction of all activities of the Tashkent Fashion Week. For foreign guests are paid for the hotel and organized a trip to the city of Samarkand.
