Danish Ambassador calls on Governor Koshyari; announces setting up Centre of Excellence in Dairy in the State

Mumbai, Nov 23: The Ambassador of the Royal Danish Embassy in India Freddy Svane today said Denmark will be setting up a Centre of Excellence in Dairy in Maharashtra. He added that he has had a discussion in this regard with Maharashtra’s Minister of Animal Husbandry Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil.
 
The Ambassador was speaking to the Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Tue (22 Nov).
 
Minister Counsellor and Head of the Trade and Commercial Affairs of Denmark in India Soren Kannik-Marquardsen and Vice Consul in Mumbai Henry Karkada were present. 
 
The Ambassador said Denmark is offering technological solutions to India in addressing its environment problems caused due to stubble burning. He said Denmark is already working with UP, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and other States. Mentioning that Denmark is setting up a Wind Park in Tamil Nadu he said Denmark would like to help the farmers of India in becoming business people.The Ambassador thanked India for providing the country Covid vaccines.
 
Welcoming the Ambassador to Maharashtra, the Governor assured that he will extend all help to Denmark in further strengthening cooperation with the State.
