A doctor from India examined a patient with chronic hepatitis in the Navoi region

This medical examination, organized by the Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Epidemiology, Microbiology, Infectious and Parasitic Diseases of the Republic of Uzbekistan, took place at the Navoi Regional Children’s Infectious Diseases Hospital.

Viral hepatitis is an acute infectious disease that affects liver cells and threatens human life. Hepatitis B and C are common worldwide. Hepatitis B causes severe diseases such as cirrhosis of the liver and liver cancer if not detected and treated in time. Therefore, Uzbekistan pays special attention to the prevention, early detection and treatment of this disease.

In particular, professional development of specialists and exchange of experience with foreign doctors are of great importance in this direction.

The educational and practical seminar held in the Navoi Regional Children’s Infectious Diseases Hospital together with the Republican Research Institute of Virology at the Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Epidemiology, Microbiology, Infectious and Parasitic Diseases of the Republic of Uzbekistan and doctors from India was devoted to the prevention and early detection of chronic hepatitis . At the workshop, a specialist from India also told the participants about new methods of treating hepatitis, dwelling in detail on this type of disease and concomitant factors.

“The main purpose of the visit is to detect and treat hepatitis B and D as early as possible,” said Furkan Ahmed, a doctor from India. “Unfortunately, there is currently no cure for hepatitis B in the world; hepatitis D is mainly treated with transplantation. Here we work together with Uzbek specialists, trying to detect the disease at an early stage, thereby delaying the onset of liver cirrhosis and liver cancer.

Specialists from India conducted a medical examination of patients with chronic hepatitis B in our region. During the examination, the patient’s medical history was studied, and recommendations for treatment were given to them.

Of course, such joint events are of great importance for further advanced training of medical workers in the Navoi region.
