South Korean Embassy unveils logo marking the 50th year of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and South Korea

New Delhi, Dec 11 The Indo-Korean Friendship Day, organised jointly by the India-Republic of Korea Friendship Society and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in India, which highlighted the spirit of the 49th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Republic of Korea, was celebrated on December 10, 2022 in the India-Korea Friendship Park. Around 200 invitees attended the event.
On the occasion, President of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Secretary (East) in the Ministry of External Affairs Ambassador Saurabh Kumar, Ambassador of the republic of Korea to India Chang Jae-bok and Chairman of the SIGMA Group of companies, Honourary Consul General of Korea for Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Vice Chairman of India-ROK Friendship Society Shri J.D. Singh addressed the gathering.
The speakers highlighted the strides taken in India-Korea relations and expressed the hope that this relationship will attain newer heights.
The Korean Ambassador unveiled the logo marking the 50th year of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and the Republic of Korea.
Cultural troupes from the Korean Cultural Centre and sand artist Rajat Kumar regaled the audience with their performance.
The India-Korea Friendship Park in Delhi Cantt. commemorates the notable contribution of India’s armed forces for peace and stability during and after the tragic Korean war from 1950 to 1953.
