PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION FROM REPUBLIC OF KOREA CALLS ON THE PRESIDENT

Parliamentary Delegation From Republic of Korea Led by Chuang Sye Kyum, Speaker of Nation Assembly of the Republic of Korea, called on the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind at Rashrapati Bhavan.

A Parliamentary Delegation from the Republic of Korea led by Mr Chung Sye Kyun, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, called onĀ  President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, at Rashtrapati Bhavan today (March 8, 2018).

Welcoming the delegation, the President said that India and South Korea share democratic values and a common economic vision.Ā  There is also a unique convergence of strategic interests.

The President said that we admire achievements of South Korea despite the difficult economic and political situation in its early days. He appreciated the determination with which both the people and leadership of South Korea have worked towards developing their country.

The President was happy to note that South Korean investors are looking at India as an investment destination.Ā  He stated that large participation of top Korean companies in the 2nd India-South Korea Business Summit, held last week in India, is a testimony to this.Ā  India sees South Korea as a key partner in its efforts towards rapid industrialisation. We look forward to South Koreaā€™s participation in our flagship projects such as Make in India, Clean India and Digital India.
